What’s the LAST Thing You Do in a GREAT Meeting?

Man in glasses and blue shirt sits outdoors with trees and a house in the background. He appears calm and content.
Scott Richards Meetings

I’ve asked dozens of people in my ProVisors group this question. Not one person said, “Rate it.”

But rating a meeting on a scale of 1 to 10 can be one of the most powerful tools IF THERE IS TRUST.

In a HIGH-TRUST environment, a “6” is gold.

It signals something was off: maybe the agenda drifted, a “sacred cow” went untouched, or the elephant in the room was ignored.

That feedback helps the team improve.

In a low-trust environment, people hand out 9's and 10's just to stay safe.

Nothing changes.

The CEO and senior team set the tone.

When they encourage RESPECTFUL, constructive criticism with ZERO FEAR of consequences, meeting ratings become a quick pulse check that drives growth.

The last thing you do in a great meeting isn’t just rate it. It’s learn from it.
